We have a rather urgent need to run a fundraiser for Grandmaster Mike Morton who is a 7th degree black belt in Moo Sul Kwan Hapkido. He has just had open heart surgery and needs help with his medical bills.
Normally, we would run a break-a-thon to raise money for a needed fundraiser but we cannot do so during COVID. In lieu of a break-a-thon, on November 7th, we are going to hold an online seminar for ages 12 and up, and a separate "Fun Poomse Competition Event" for ages 11 and under. All proceeds from the day will go directly to Grandmaster Morton to help with his bill, and there will be no awards given out. We expect the seminar to be in the morning with a start time around 8 am; we will update you. The competition for the younger students will likely be from mid-morning to early afternoon.
The cost is $20 per person in a family. Students ages 11 and up that want to participate in the Seminar and Poomse Competition will be $35.
If you cannot make the event or would like to donate more, you can certainly donate cash or by check at your campus, or the donate button to the right. All checks should be made out to Colorado Taekwondo Institute and we will make one large donation after the event. Please reach out if you have questions regarding this.
The Colorado TKD Institute participates in service each year. We had to cancel our annual food drive but we will still be holding our annual CTI Turkey Drive on Nov 14th - more info to come. Holding this event on Nov 7th is one way that we can participate in service using the online platform so that we can raise money for a much needed purpose and still keep everyone safe.
Please plan to participate if you can, and thank you so much for all that you do!
